First weekend of Wine Tours

As we arrived at Trotton Estate Vineyard on Saturday morning for our first vineyard tour and wine tasting of 2020 we couldn't help but think about all the stunning weather we had throughout May and June when we couldn't run wine tours.

A July vineyard tour in boots, coats and hats with umbrellas wasn't exactly what we had envisaged for our long awaited return but everyone took it in their stride and enjoyed the fresh air, thankfully we didn't get rained on and the tail wind had us arriving at the wine lodge in near record time!

We tasted the 2017 and 2018 Brilliant Bacchus along with the Spectacular Sparkling Brut NV whilst taking in the view from the lodge, which, even on a grey day, is still rather breath-taking.

A group size of six wine tourists works well, especially as our Great British Weather is so wonderfully unpredictable, it means that guests can comfortably fit in/on the lodge & terrace during the wine tasting and still maintain social distance.

We cannot wait to get back out to the vineyard next week and welcome a new group of wine tourist for another fun day of vineyard tours and wine tasting - there are still a couple of places left on both the 11am and 2pm tour, see you there! The weather looks better for the 11th...promise!
